Hope springs eternal in the hearts of diamondheads...
In case you missed it, the New York Times ran an interesting article on Neil Diamond's upcoming acoustic release. The man is due for a ciritical revival so this could be an interesting story to watch (full disclosure: my father owned every Neil Diamond album ever recorded on vinyl and I was raised on a diet of weekly Hot August Night listenings).

Neil Diamond is truly an entertainer who can bridge the generational gap. I took my in-laws to see a Neil Diamond concert a couple of years ago, and I am not sure who had more fun. There are not many concerts I can imagine me and my in-laws digging on similar levels.
But as much of a Diamondhead as I may be, I will still say that the cheesiest thing I ever saw at a concert (and others from this forum witnessed it, as well) was Neil saying "With UB40 we be Number 1" while singing Red Red Wine. Apparently, it had gone to his head.
