Something new under the hood
I have finally updated the MovableType backend of Memphilter. Only a year late on that one. I am not quite finished, and I am trying to get TypeKey authentication to work on the comments to avoid the spam that we have all become so accustomerd to. This process may take me a few days to get done. Until then, your comments will be held until I approve them. Once I get authentication up, comments will post immediately if you have a TypeKey account and can authenticate that you really are, say, EL Destructo. TypeKey happens to be run by SixApart, which produces MT, but TypeKey authentication is being used more and more across a wide variety of particpatory websites as a way to prevent comment spam. So if you are a regular, go get a TypeKey account at once, and I'll have this thing up and running smoothly again (but without comment spam!) soon. A little more inside.
My goal here is to allow "anonymous" users to still chime in on Memphilter AND at the same time avoid comment spam. TypeKey will allow regulars to post comments staight away, and "holding" unauthenticated comments will prevent comment spam. There are a few things that are likely going to be buggy for a few days with the switch, which was a little more involved than I thought. If you happen upon a bug, let me know.
And since I have begun to fix comment spam which has been one of giappino's pet peeves for some time, when are we going to start seeing some more of these around here, giappino?

Yes! More Confessions of Shane's Mind! I'll even host screenings of horrible movies at my place, giappino, if it will help!
My vote for next flick goes to War of the Worlds.
