Some Recordings of Studs Terkel
I first came to know Studs Terkel through his brief appearance in the underrated documentary film Anthem, which is a must see if you can find it on cable. I then read the book Gig, which was inspired by Terkel's Working. In turn, I read Working, Race, and Hard Times and became a true Studs junkie. Imagine my delight, when I found out this evening (Via Mefi) that audio clips from his radio show and book interviews are archived on his website. If you are not already familiar with Terkel's work, I encourage you to spend some time checking out the conversations. But wait, there's more.
